Hi i am looking at a winter engine swap and have two engines im looking at buying. First a 69 351 windsor i et a milidon oil pan for the 5.0 swap and headers and the second a 87 302 block that puts out over 300 at the wheel built by a performane shop. Now im getting which one would be best overall the 351 is cheap and i wanna make at least 350 to 400. i know whats involved in a 351 swap both were carbed engines too so is it easier to switch engine to efi or car to carb Any more help in deciding would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all

What parts are on the 302? Specifically, what heads, intake, carb, cam, headers? 302s don't just make 300rwhp. It takes some decent parts to do it. If it's making that kind of power, it might be the better deal depending on what the asking price is. There's no replacement for displacement. The 351W is by far a superior block for making power, but it's going to take a good top end to do it. You can find 351W shortblocks for a few hundred bucks, and then build it any way you want to. So, I wouldn't pay a couple grand for a turn-key motor with the wrong top-end on it.
