Engine holding back at WOT

So when I take off at a light, the engine seems to "hold back" until about 5k rpm. At 5k, it will snap out of it and get to 6500 in no time and it will move your head back when it does this does there is something restricting when i go WOT or rapidly increase the throttle.

I have changed plugs, wires, MAF, PCV, IAC, EGR, and it does need a tune BAD!

I could have walked on a 2010 GT but he got the jump on me cause of this >.< and then when it snaped out of it at 5K I ran even with him and started to claw my way up.

Any ideas?

Maybe, throttle positioning sensor, those are digitial sensors so when the signal flat lines seems like the RMPs will hesitate then jump when the sensor is functioning properly.

fail?? So it ended up being the Fuel Pressure Regulator. Its now changed and running great.

What do you have done to the car? 6500RPM is too high if ya don't have cams or springs.

when i pulled the line off there was still fuel in the line and the symptoms where the same that i read online as well...so i went and got a new one with new rails
