I have a 91 lx 5.0 5 speed with 85k original miles on it. It’s pretty rowdy but is still working out kinks from the last owner who’s re wiring job looks like Ray Charles did it with his feet. I’ve had the idea of just yanking the motor and wiring out and swapping something else in like an ls/coyote. Just wondering which is the best choice for a broke college student like myself and which one is better for if I wanna stay with a manual over auto?

Broke college student needs to fix what he has, wiring is doable with some patience, besides it's low miles.

If anything... buy a harness for what you have. Way cheaper than an engine swap.

Fix or replace the harness and enjoy the car. Swaps take money and quick swaps take lots of money.

Fix what you have and enjoy it. That is a low mile car.
