those were the day b4 i dropped the engine in!.

havent got pics of it in the car yet.... But i am ALMOST DONE OMFG!
got the rails. injectors all plugged in, dizzy stabbed, driveshaft, headers and H-pipe are on, new bullets welded to flowtubes, clutch adjusted, shifter installed, front accesories are all on and connected, radiator in, battery and all the crap

All i have left is the valve covers, upper intake, bolt bullets up, oil and water.

then i will fire her up and set the timing and go break her in!

got some qs. Should i start by filling the engine up with water via the thermostat housing? so i wont have a big air pocket on initial startup.

also whats optimum way to break the engine in??

i've heard many ways. The way i think seems best is to take it out after getting warmed up and go WOT from 20-50 and slow down and repeat 12 or so times. To seat the rings, change oil and drive it (without and sustained speeds) then after 500 miles change oil and again at 2k?

i was told by my engine builder to baby it...under 3 or 3.5k for 500 miles i believe. there are MANY opposing theories on how to break it, thats not an argument we need to get started. basically, some people think you should thrash it, some say baby it.

how do you plan to get the coolant past the thermostat if you put it in through the thermo housing?

it's awsome to see you progress like this foxfan. I remember when you ran the 16 with the AOD and always were looking for more....Now you will have a not so average Fox and are pretty well building your own engine and did the t5 swap. I also remember people making fun of you and now what....they are like DAYUM this kid is doing good

My Vert was running 15.50's @ 85 mph before the HCI swap. The swap made it VERY Torqey down low. Your gonna like it.

Dang, That is one heavy *****! I ran a 14.8@94.333 in my vert with a 2.35 60' Spinning almost all of first.. I think mine is around 3450 lbs with me in it! How is there that much difference. I had nothing removed.

non rooler blocks like to be broke in by holding it at or above 2000 rpm's for half hour or so than change the oil and go out and drive it.

roller blocks you can just drive them easy for a little while and change the oil.
