Well the my 98' GT is giving me headaches still, I thought I had it figured out but I'm stumped. My engine is making a weird clicking noise when I am WOT or close to it. When I am just cruising it doesn't make that sound unless I have to stop at a stop sign and start again or pass someone or I just accelerate on to the highway. It kinda sounds like it is coming from the valve train but it only does it when the car is in motion, if I rev it in neutral or park it doesn't do it. Plus since it started making this clicking sound the engine will pulse for a few seconds like it will lose a little power and surge back, like I was tapping the gas repeatedely, and at idle sometimes it acts like its going to stall but when I put it in neutral it's fine. Here are the upgrades on my car: FRPP 70mm throttle body, FRPP 9mm spark plug wires, FRPP catback kit, MSN coil packs, K&N airfilter. Plus I had to get a new tranny for it, I couldn't afford a rebuild so I bought a used one, I took it to a trans place and they checked it out and said it was in good condition.
