engine overhearing, fan not coming on...HELP!

You have two...one right by the thermostat housing on the intake and the other in the same position on the other side of the intake.

you guys are awesome! I tested the ohms (just went to wal mart and bought a meter), mine were around 45k cold, 2.5k warm...but when I tried getting the engine hot, the fan came on...so somewhere in all these tests, something must have been loose...and it is now working. thanks guys, you rock!

Good to hear!! Might not be a bad idea to wriggle the wires and connectors around when the fan's running just to make sure it's not going to quit on you again. It could be the connection to the temp sensor that tells the computer when to turn on the fan [the one you tested] but after you had it off and on again it may be connecting better and will keep working, but if the wires are sloppy in the connector it may stop again, so just double check to be safe.
