Seriously though, dart 347 with an on3 kit will easily exceed 500hp. You could do it on a stock block but then we'll see a post that says my 347 is now a flower planter.

I'm just spit-balling here, but I'm guessing you're new to this, based on how you didn't know what a Dart block was...?

400-500hp is alot of power so i would look at supercharger kits or turbo. get good flowing heads and a cam that fits a boost motor. keep you CR down

Newbs

They are all talking about using the stock block from an early dodge dart, they are a direct swap and will handle 1000hp before breaking...

most supercharged mustangs have give or take 375-450 hp. 500hp is one bad mutha. most fast 03-04 cobras are in the high 400's or into the 500 mark

hmm. yeah, ok. I really quit trying for big horse power out of 302's about 20 years ago when I got my first 351w fox. (357) it made around 425 with no juice. Not saying 302's are bad!!! I just got into the displacement thing and thought, crap why waste time! Still scratch my head when someone is jazzed over a 400hp supercharged engine....no such thing as a 347 back then!.. or a 408hehe!

It surprised a lot of people in 1991. infact it surprised enough people it payed for the car. That was before street racing was frowned upon and you just got a ticket to show off to your buddies.

I had a hundred shot, well a 300, but only gave it a hundred. A guy I kinda knew stopped at a red light next to me one day on his 750 katana. and I had my m&h racemaster slicks on that day. I sprayed it out of the hole. he about **** when I did a wheel stand and ran off and left him. That car ALWAYS tried to swap ends. it was like a never ending power slide. lots of fun. when we stopped at the next light he flipped his visor up and yelled "what the **** you got in that thing? LOL!!! When I put it up for sale his brother bought it!!!

The 347 will run just fine with the stock EEC, many local guys are doing it no problem. "Technically" no stroker kit is a 347, its a 342 with a STD piston, 346 with a .030 piston and a 348 with a .040 piston

Must be a 94-95 thing then. The EEC are load based with calculations based on displacement.
