It's good, right now I'm driving her about twice a week. Still have a lot to do but the weather here is amazing right now.... so better to enjoy it while I can.

I still have to put the new gears in, window motors, fix the stock seats, readjust the drivers door ect.ect.....

Monday coming up I will have an update for you guys. We will be replacing the ring and pinion and doing some brake maintenance.

I have a list of things I need to fix on this thing.... most of which have been self inflicted during the "will this work" phase of the supercharger install. The rest of it will be cleaning up wiring and hiding it best I can.

I sure wish I had a lathe and could machine the front dress plate out of a thinker piece of aluminum.....

Anyone have a set of interior quarter panels for a 90-93 convertible????

I want to "quite" down my interior and remove the I was 20 speaker box......

Sure it looks cool but....... it's not really my style anymore just way too much. I want to rebuild with something more tasteful.

Look to Japan,...they have small children for adoption that will fill the rear seat space nicely.

I already have 2 of them back there now.... in a fiberglass speaker box that forms up the entire rear area........
I want to redo the box itself, I guess it will mean stripping fiberglass off of the original pieces...

I know right. I don't want to get rid of the system... I like my stereo but geez.... it's not as cool as it was when I was 20.

Ideas? Think I can save part of it? I want the speakers hidden.... and less obnoxious. Much less obnoxious.

Your system is a little specialized though, don't you think?

To downsize wouldn't you need components that combine some of the aspects of your individual components?

Yes it is... to be loud.... very very loud. I use it at outdoor parties, one battery is on a disconnect to run the amps so I can still start the car.

I need something that can be removed in pieces, I want to put in a 6point cage . This has to be pulled in one piece.

I'm thinking rearranging the speakers and some perforated hardboard would work.

I used to have a huge system like that in mine about 15 years ago. I understand the need to tone it down, but not lose all the fun out of having a great system. This is just what I did (take it like a grain of salt), but I would remove the whole box. It looks like you are using 6.5" round and 6x9's oval with maybe 2 12" subs. Did I get that right?

I changed the 3.5 stock tweeters to the small 1" domes (will have to build a bracket to fit), with 6.5 door speakers, and then the 6x9's in the rear. The only way you are going to get the same sound is to run two amps a 6-channel for the 6 speaker system, and a mono amp for the 2 subs. I was able to reduce the 2 Sony 12" subs to just one Rockford Fosgate P series as they are that much better.

This will save a crap load of room and give you the ability to put the cage in. I have the same plan as you to run a MM 4-point cage with the low slung bars option in mine.

I already have 6.5components w tweets in the front doors (custom door panels) dome tweets in the dash location mounted on a adapter I built.

2- 6.5 loudspeakers in the back with 2 6x9
Subs are 2 10" jvc arsenals

I have a class A/B 1200 watt (800rms) 4 channel for the mids/highs
MB quart class D 1500watt 1ohm amp on the 2 10" subs.

Jeeezzusss!! Your car will be .5 second faster in the 1/4 just getting rid of all that stuff. You don't have a little Japanese kid BTW,...you have a freakin SUMO wrestler back there.
IDK why anybody needs their intestines rattled anyway......I think that in 30 years, all of you "kids" will file a class action suit against all of the CA mfgs,...Citing internal organ damage, and massive hearing loss, much in the same way the cigarette companies were being sued by "un suspecting" smokers w/ lung cancer did.

Also my plan is a fiberglass spare tire well box which would save space and weight as well. Just a thought. Sorry if Im not being any help to you

All speakers are on the amps.

It's a convertible, if the speakers go anywhere besides the back seat they either get in the way of the top or get muffled when the top is down.....

I think a small box for one of these subs and the 6x9 would more than suffice.

All this still comes back to my needing the interior quarter panels....... I don't think the fiberglass will separate that easily....

Dave can answer to this better, but I can almost guarantee that you will not be able to save the interior panels. Fiberglass makes a chemical bond when activated, so I would bet it is fused together.
