I just got a Baer Eradispeed + 2, 14" brake kit for my 05 GT. The instructions are kinda basic, which is fine but they made no mention of the two Black Billet Aluminum pieces that are in the kit.

They are not the Caliper Anchor plates, because they are in the box too and look different, more like the stock Ford ones.

Anybody know?

Ahhh, now it makes sense. The black brackets bolt to the spindle and are there to move the caliper outwards to clear the larger diameter of your new rotors. The new anchor plates ( I call them carriers) will bolt on to the black brackets and your exsisting caliper body will bolt to the carrier. The new carrier is there to allow the caliper to expand farther to accomadate the larger width of the new rotors. I think it will make more sense when you get to it. I can see where it would seem that they would have made it a single piece. Maybe they outsourced the carriers from something else. Who knows, but Baer is well known as a top tier company so I'm sure it will work and work well. Hope this helps.

Actually as soon as I pulled one side of the stock parts apart it was obvious how everything went together. Oddly enough Baer never even mentions that bracket in their instructions.... go figure.

Now for my New Problem.....

I mis-measured when I ordered the brake kit and my 18" Deep Dish Bullit wheels would not clear the caliper. So I had to disassemble the one side I put together and go back to my stock components. Now I am going to have to sell this kit, probably on ebay, and some guy is going to get a great deal.
