ESC TSC Advanced Track Features

Hey Guys, went out in the drive and played with getting the
different displays for the TCS and ESC. Turning them on and
off seems to be bit of a headache. I believe we all should know
how to turn the 'Nannies' off when it is safe to play....Anyone
have a good understanding about thes control devises? The TCS
seems simple enough, push the button....but then I could NOT get
it to come back on by a simple push of the same button...Turning
off the ESC appears to be a little more on the tough side.We should
ALL learn how to use these devices, for track and street. I did set
my steering to sport which really tightens up the road feel and effort.
Also, this setting seemed to take some of the 'wanderness' of the P
Zero tires away. Seems like a good setting...I like it!

You tap the button once to take off traction control. Tap it again and it's back to normal.

To put into Sport Mode you need to have your foot on the brake and double tap the button. Tap it again and it's back to normal.

To completely disengage the ECS, you put your foot on the brake and hold the button for five seconds. Tap it again and it's back to normal.

Does that help?

Fat Boss, that makes much more sense than what the owners manual says.
I don't think they tell us how to put the 'nannies' back on...thanks for the
input. Will give it a go tomorrow!

how can you tell if your car has the ESC?
I have the TCS button.
Thanks

I am under the impression that all the 5.0 cars have this feature along
with the traction control. Obviously Traction Control is for wheelspin
while ESC helps to control slide (lateral) motion. Be so cautious as the
rear ends of these cars is on the light side and they can (and WILL)
come around in a heartbeat. Judicious use of throttle is highly recommended
when you have the 'Nannies' turned OFF!!

never tried it that way, I've always just used the setup button to the left of my steering wheel
