My husband just bought a 07 Kawasaki ZX10R Special edition motorcycle. Now I can't get him to stop riding the thing! It makes me very sad to see his mustang in the garage collecting dust. I have my own Mustang to drive, so I can't drive both. Plus I like mine better He now wants to go to the shop where we got the bike and buy stuff for it instead of his stang. I definately think this bike is becomming the "other woman". Is this normal to those of you who have bikes and stangs?

The bike is the "new" toy. It usually happens when something new is purchased. If the stang would have come after the bike then it probably would be the stang that is driven and the bike would be collecting dust.

Yea, when I first bought my Ninja, I rode it every chance I got. Now, I pay equal attention to my 'stang and my bike. Just give it time; they're entirely different vehicles that appeal at different times.

yea its normal for a while. when i first bought my bike i put 6000 miles on it in a month a half and never touched the stang and after that first year of having the bike i went back to teh stang. but i still love riding the bike just cause its so much faster than the stang and i love watching the speedo jump numbers trying to keep up with teh acceleration.

Wait till it rains, or gets cold outside, he'll start appreciating the Stang again.

He doesn't drive the Mustang in the rain, but maybe in the fall he will drive it again. It just sux seeing it rot in the garage all winter, and now all summer. Atleast he's keeping the miles down and gas is cheaper for the bike

Actually lately i haven't wanted to drive my car. Funny thing is its my only mode of transportation, but the fact that it has rained here 33 days in a row or something crazy like that makes me not want to drive it. Its constantly dirty and with the windows up and a/c on the car feels slower and i can here every rattle inside. Oh well, guess i'll feel better when i can wash and wax her and cruise with the windows down in a few days.

It has not rained here in ages. The yard is dead. The car is dusty from sitting, and the sad part is that I am the one who ends up washing and detailing his beast.

I don't drive mine on rainy days or most days really. My driveway is not paved, gravel only. So, its nasty when it rains.
I may drive it every friday if its nice.

At times I get sick of driving the Stang as well. During high stop and go traffic times in the middle of the summer, it's a chore to get that thing through the commute. But times like now when it has been sitting in the garage for over a month collecting dust is when I want to break it out again.... but same situation as the fellow Houston Stangers, been raining like crazy this past month but that has seemed to ease so she'll prob see DD duty 1 or 2 times before the end of the month.

I don't think there is a day(or a moment) that goes by I Don't wish I was ripping rubber on the road in my stang. I feel the same way I did when I get in my car and hear the exhaust when I rev the engine. My pulse goes up, I begin to tremble, and I can feel my heart beat in my chest. I grin, because In my neighborhood, there is another stang follower who always gives me thumbs up, or we rev up at each other when we pass by. I have never exchanged words with him, but were best friends, just because of that. Its a passion about ones car... NO!!! An obsession about it, that make us a unified group of individuals who are proud to show your cars off, and fight the fight against evil(a.k.a ricers). We may not have the biggest, baddest, V8's on the road, but dammit, we can say were part of an elite group, that bring us together right here everyday. Kudos, to you whether you drive a 65' fastback, 94' GT, 79' boss, 88' hatchback, o4' cobra, or an 08' GT500. Your all a brother or sister to me.

God Bless America

Well the rain in this area has definitly sucked though we have finally caught a break or so it thinks. I enjoy throwing a coat of wax on the car and letting it rain the next few days just so I can see the rain bead off
