Ever NOT want to drive the stang?

I'm good for whenever and will either be there this Friday or Sunday actually if the rain decides to allow me to do so.

This Friday is a regular night, though the one after that is going to be the Latino night again that I somehow managed to goto last time :rlaugh: The prices are still the same to run, though for a spectator it goes from $10 to $15. I was wondering why I kept hearing the same kind of thumping noise from every truck around me ;) :rlaugh:

Well, I've driven my car like 15 times or so since having it put back together in March... And I haven't really missed it all that much since getting a bike! :rlaugh: I just got a new bypass valve which fixed all of my drivability issues, and I'm still not that into driving it... :nono:

Whats wrong with u man??? LOL..

I love driving mine, I just hate stackin those miles up. Ive been havin problems with my daily driver Jetta, so the miles have been piling up extra quick on the Mach lateley...Im up to 39k already for god sakes!!!:notnice:

I only want to put 5k a year on my stang, but its hard to not drive it...I think I need another toy soon...

I've put 20k on my stang in 3 years, but 16,000 of that was the first year and a half...then I got a beater daily to use. It's just too much car for the street, and I haven't open tracked it yet, and autox is meh...paying to work for half the day and only drive for 5 minutes sucks.

It has not rained here in ages. The yard is dead. The car is dusty from sitting, and the sad part is that I am the one who ends up washing and detailing his beast.

Thats where I draw the line. Not driving it is one thing. Neglecting it isn't right.:(

Like the others said, it'll pass. I was all crazy about my boat for a bit. Now I think its fun but a total PITA and I still love my stang (even more than ever since I got the 295 KDW rears).:nice:

sportbikes are a completely different beast than cars...... personally I don't know if its even fair to compare them.

I had my foxbody 5.0 for 3-4 years before I got my first bike(ex500, which is a slow beginner bike). the very next season I got my 2nd bike (zx6r) and let me tell you going from the mustang to a 600 cc in line 4 that from the factory hits into the 10 on a 1/4 mile was amazing. sold the mustang shortly after.

since then I really learned to ride the twisties on the bike, theres really nothing that can compare. getting your knee down to the pavement in a corner is just something I couldn't even begin to describe.

now the bike your husband just bought is a 170 HP beast that weighs in at a whopping 400 lbs. and handles just as well as a 600. I know because I have a zx10r as well (see avitar:nice: )

despite all the fun on the bike, I did miss the rumble of my old 5.0 so I did finally break down and ended up buying my 99 gt. but as far as modding it to hell, I'd rather not bother with it, as the bike is much cheaper and easier to get to go faster, and the car will never catch up, or even come close (not on my budget anyway).

so really I just got the car for something nice to drive to work or wherever once in a while, in the rain, or just when I don't feel like putting on full leathers (cuz thats about the only way I ride lately, full gear)

tell your husband to look for a trackday for the bike. he'll learn alot and it will make him a much better/safer rider on the street. and you may even get a glimpse of what makes it exciting. :nice:

He is not interested in racing the bike yet. He is too scared about dropping it or something. He has been very caucious, and safe thus far. I have ridden with him only a couple of times (monkey butt really hurts). He wants to take an abate class so he can get his endorsement. The mustang won't get driven in the rain, and now not in the sun either. He has the Focus for the rain and snow. I really love the fact that he has a new toy he really likes, but the fact is we really don't have the space in the garage for all of the toys he might have enjoyed at some point. Is it time to clean out the toy box?

I don't think there is a day(or a moment) that goes by I Don't wish I was ripping rubber on the road in my stang. I feel the same way I did when I get in my car and hear the exhaust when I rev the engine. My pulse goes up, I begin to tremble, and I can feel my heart beat in my chest. I grin, because In my neighborhood, there is another stang follower who always gives me thumbs up, or we rev up at each other when we pass by. I have never exchanged words with him, but were best friends, just because of that. Its a passion about ones car... NO!!! An obsession about it, that make us a unified group of individuals who are proud to show your cars off, and fight the fight against evil(a.k.a ricers). We may not have the biggest, baddest, V8's on the road, but dammit, we can say were part of an elite group, that bring us together right here everyday. Kudos, to you whether you drive a 65' fastback, 94' GT, 79' boss, 88' hatchback, o4' cobra, or an 08' GT500. Your all a brother or sister to me.

:flag: God Bless America :flag:

that was a wonderful speach man. I think that brought tears to my eyes.:flag: :SNSign:
