I'd get it tuned and address the trans for sure, and sooner than later. As said, if you got a working J/Y T5 to hold you over, that would work. And you could probably sell it for near what you paid when the T56 goes in.
The other stuff is pretty cheap (suspension and exhaust) and not totally mandatory. And the installs are very easy.

OT: i now believe the tune was actually ok, and that the bottom end was just on its last legs, and the blower put it out of its misery. at the time though, i thought it was the tune that was causing the problems. i could be wrong though.Pokageek said:Yes. If you haven't, just take your car to a good tune shop or get a new trans, let them fix it and move on. If the problem is just the trans then get a new one.

JMO but I think the wise move would be to take the loan money and buy a decent DD and then go about fixing the stang after you have a car to drive and not have to worry about down time or trying to get it all fixed at once. Winter is coming and the stang is useless anyway, grab a nice SUV w/ 4wheel drive and work on the stang over the winter. good luck with your decision.
