All I have to say is, Mustangs have such a nice tone! 5.0, 4.6, 2v, 4v, it don't matter. If you run cutouts, it will lose all tone and be like blahhhhhh. Its ok to be loud, but still keep that mustang TONE! I personaly love a chambered muffler with o/r X or H. If you get LM1s get a catted mid pipe.

O/R X or H pipes only sound good on a car with stock headers. With headers you need cats to muffle the sound a little bit, without cats its just a bunch of rasp and unwanted, annoying, bad sounding noise.

I will HAVE to disagree with this though. I have a full MAC exhaust (including O/R prochamber) and I get compliments on it just about every day. I just had a goody-goody elderly couple in their new mercedes compliment my exhaust the other night. I was shocked.

I have no rasp whatsoever.

Prochamber is not included in O/R H&X pipes.. It has a category of it's own

i really dont think age is relivant, hell im 30, i run bbk shorty headers, bassani o/r-x, SLP lm1s, and 2.5in over axle pipe, with magnaflow tips. over 90% of my exhaust is stainless, i drive mine sensibly and is a DD. i shift between 2500-300rpms and sounds quit well. ive gotten complimants from man that thing sounds good, mean, loud as hell, to huh, but more i get is wow that is nice, and wish mine sounded that good. majority of complimants come from my age group to guys/girls in there 50s and into there 60s. so imaturity is irrelivant.

Welcome to FnSweet.com

I would look at that guide before installing long tubes. They go in from the bottom, not the top like the old 5.0 cars did.

As far as the exhaust it really is personal preference. I love loud exhaust, but I am old. Be warned that is going to be a loud as piss setup. There really is no need for the cut outs. You're going to draw a lot of looks from people with it.

well what was the meaning of the question? my statement was directed toward those who think loud exhaust is immature, thats all. as far as not being punctiual could be pure stupidity at all ages.

It was not directed at the loud exhaust part more than some of the pointless threads he creates....

These are what you want if you are set on cutouts. Not the QTP's. Better quality and should work on the mustang as well.
