stock tubing is 2 1/4" but a good exhaust shop can make 2 1/2" muffs fit

I'd go with a regular magnaflow catback with the catted-X, its not too loud but sounds real good.

I just put on a MAC 2 1/2 Catbak and an intake and the car sounded great. Lost a littlle low end torque but it seemed to pull harder at higher RPM's.

Did not get much of a chance to test it yet.

Install took about 2 hours with 2 of us taking our time on jack stands.

Cost $300 including shipping from stangnet.

change of topic real quick....
what would give me more hp?
A magnaflow catback and a catted X pipe,
or a magnaflow catback, a CAI, a 75mm tb, and a well matched plenum to that tb?

mity2

I like Pro3 and all I got was this crappy CT.

donno... Xpipe should give you good 5~10hp at least on O/R. Donno what you get from Catback. 5 may be?
CAI may be 1 or 2(in reality) matching TB and prenum prolly about 5~10hp?

nomatter which way you go, i think you get about same

Go with a Mac h pipe ($125 used) and a american thunder catback($350 new). This would make the car sound sick and intimidating. I have this exhaust and a prochamber, it’s not as loud as my friend’s car that has the same exhaust with a h-pipe. With a stock h-pipe I recommend spintech mufflers.

I have a question, I currently have flows welded on my stang, Would I get a noticeable amount of hp with an off-road H-Pipe? Also would my exhaust get deeper and louder?

1. Depends on what other mods you have, somewhat. Ranges from 5-12 rwhp.
2. A clear and resounding "YES"!

To get that amount of HP would I have to get a prochamber h-pipe or would I be ok with just a regular h-pipe?

Would my exhaust note be changed greatly?

ps. All I have is a drop-in k&n filter and welded-in flows.

My opinion--the ProChamber will give you a "cleaner" sound, albeit a bit quieter than a standard o/r H pipe would.
Either one will give you gains over the restrictive stock midpipe. Right now, all I have are weld-ins (Flows) until corrosion owns the stock piping; with my MAC o/r H. I love the sound and get compliments all the time. Is that what you were looking for?

the weld'in flows that were on my car when i bought it drone soooo bad with the stock midpipe.

i'm getting ready to just cut the pipes off altogether and run no mufflers b/c i don't have the money for a new catback.... or I could just wait for that o/r x-pipe i got ordered....

That sounds awesome, I'm definitely going with an H-Pipe. Thanks for that link.

Few more questions: Does the stock h-pipe come off pretty easy? Do I need to buy anything else besides the pipe to bolt it on?

Use a good penetrating oil, exhaust bolts get tough after bein on a daily driven car for a year or so. You may need gaskets also.
