I always see that most people recommend the Dr.Gas x-pipe for its True X cross over. But what does that do for sound? How does the Dr.Gas differ in sound compared to a BBK or Bassani x? Does the Dr.Gas sound more like an h?

Im trying to decide between an off road H or Dr. Gas X to go with some bbk long tubes and spintech prostreet mufflers. This is for when i do my winter project....

Thanks

Off road H. My friend has spintech mufflers dumped w/a bbk off road H, and equal length headers. Sounds like a boat. Not to say any un-cated system w/dumps won't sound good, however I prefer the H, sounds better, power is about the same. :nice: :flag:

hmmm wow. Which muffler does he have, prostreet or sportsmans? That is the FIRST time i have heard someone say something bad about Spintech muffs....

I have heard them dumped through sound clips and they sound nothing like a boat...with either muffler with either midpipe.

Why not the Pro-chamber which make more hp than both? and since the spintech from what I read are loud you shouldn't worry about it being to quite.

The prochamber does not mate up with bbk longtubes with out modification.

Spintech mufflers are best mated with X-pipes. I actually have the exact set-up you are looking at getting (BBK LTs, Dr. Gas X, and Spintech pro streets with Flowmaster tailpipes).

Really? Do you have a sound clip?

My Dr. Gas x-pipe mated with my BBK LTs and Dynomax Ultraflow catback makes for a nice tone. Idle and cruising have a mellow tone. Around 2,500rpm you can tell it doesnt have an h-pipe, since the tone gets slightly higher pitched. 4k+ it just screams, the sound is awesome IMHO. All I've gotten are compliments on it.
