Can i use longtube headers and an h pipe with the cdc side exhaust kit?
Should i get the predator tuner?
3.73 or 4.10 gears for a 02 5 speed gt
I also need a drivers seat, black leather in good condition, mine is bent, upper rail, bought it like that, any help would be great.

1) You'd have to use a REALLY short mid-pipe I'd think. But anything's probably possible.

2) Depends if you have the money or not, and what future mods you plan on doing.

3) 3.73's if you plan on supercharging with a twin screw or roots type, 4.10's if you plan on doing a centrifugal or staying N/A.

4) Try ebay. :nice:

anyone else have any suggestions? Im very open, live in michigan so its put up right now, getting ideas for spring. And for all who have replied thanks for your info and keep it coming

1. I'd go with an X pipe personally, and then life would be a lot easier with hooking up some long tubes.
2. Yeah, like sgarlic said, a tuner is a good thing if you plan on adding some mods, so if you want to add more, I would go ahead and get it and tune as you go.
3.I agree!
4. Yeah, ebay or maybe look around some junk yards...some of that stuff is in good shape and can be restored with a little work.

Longtubes aren't THAT expensive. I got my MAC longtubes for $300, paid $3/hr to use a lift/tools for the install, and bought a friend lunch at subway for help with the install. It was a pain in the ass and took some time, but the sound and torque is definitely worth it. From what I've heard, tuners work pretty well and can solve many problems such as CEL's for your exhaust and gear recalibration since you want gears.

how much difference in sound is there between shorty headers and the long tubes? And if u say x pipe, how much different is the sound between h and x. Is the still throaty sounding? I love the ideas, keep them coming please! thanks

1. since CDC list it as a catback I don't see why you couldn't use LT and a matching midpipe. ( most the side exits I see set the mufflers in the same location and then route the exhaust back up the car and out) Although alot of the side exits I've seen don't seem to clear SFC's.
2. Get whichever tuner you have access to a local tuner. ie if all the local shops are sct then xcal2 if they are diablo then predator.
3. Don't fear the gear. I love my 4.10's Now granted they limit topspeed some but how often are you going to do that?
4. ebay/classified sections on mustang boards/ take to a upholstery shop.

As far as sound. It's too much a personal thing. I for one don't like the sound of an xpipe. Too raspy, foreign sounding. Try here http://www.mustangexhaust.com/4.6sounds.htm

clear sfc's? Yeah i don't want it souding foreign, better go with the h pipe. How much difference is there between LT and shorty's though? Which is better. How much will the 4 10 limit my top speed, keeping in mind i have never topped it out yet, how much quicker is it then stock gears. Thanks again for the input and keep it coming

LT headers are going to be better, your going to get more power out of them. with the 4.10`s idk i love my 3.73`s only because before i got gears i like to be on the highway and still be able to get up there to like 120, because racing isnt always from a dead stop.

so longtubes with offroad h pipe and 373 gears or 410. I would still like to have a little freeway speed as well, its already pretty quick, anymore would be an improvement. Anything esle?
