Does anyone know if there are any websites that have actual solid decibel level numbers for various exhaust systems? I've found a bunch with sound clips and whatnot, but no "solid" numbers. I know it's mostly a personal opinion about what sounds best, but I leave for work at 5 am every morning, and don't much want the cops crawling up my butt after I spend $500+ on a new system. Thanks! Now, back to trying to get my Dalmation/Harlequin Dane to settle down.

87 db at 3k rpm is the legal limit up here... but they cant really inforce it.. i got pulled over for having a loud car when my car was stock, right down to the paper filter.. and it ran 91 db... so i got the govt insurace agency to issue me a letter saying the car has legal exaust, after bitching like no other because it was bone effing stock!!!, 6 cats and all!!!.. so on went the exaust and now i ahve a letter saying that its not too loud 
my car is WAY louder now than it was, and i havnt gotten hassled at all, just dont rev it near cops and youre fine, no car is that loud at idle, just dont draw attention to yourself ...

There was a Mach 1 site that tested the SLP, MagnaPack and Bassani cat back. Cant find it now but I remember that @ 3000 that SLP was 103 db! I will keep looking for it. -Kevin

i did a sound test at work today on a 04 mystichrome cobra with a 2.2L KB, Bassani catted X pipe and Bassani catback. the legal limit here is 96.5, it blew 108 and 106Db. it was just as a favor to a friend so nothing official. if it had been a real test we wouldve made him take off the X pipe and put on the stock one(only one thats legal). the KB is legal though.

hah, ive been complimented on my exhaust every time ive been pulled over in tennessee and alabama - catless factory midpipe with 2chamber flows (non delta/40).
