Export brace question

How much room do you guys have from the outer edge of your export brace to the inner fender ?

Might just went in...and it's a tight fit. I just want to make sure it's installed right. There is no room between the two on one side and very little on the other. I am talking about at the shock tower obviously. I am afraid that when I drive it will flex and rub the inner fender.

your description confuses me just a little . .

you think you could take a pic and post it?

I will see if I can clarify.

The ends of the export brace that cup upward. The outside edge of the cupped portion is flush up against the inner fender of my car and I don't know if it should be that way. If not, I will jack it back up by the cross member and let the shock towers spread a little more.

I think I understand what you're asking... your situation sounds impossible, because if the export brace is rubbing against the fender, shouldn't it not line up with the bolts? I will try to check when I get home, but I think I have an inch or so gap in there.

It doesn't matter anymore now anyway. I went home last night and trimmed the export brace a bit so it doesn't rub.

It would be amazed if you had a full inch between the outside edge of your export brace to the shock tower. Maybe your brace is made different from mine...

I attached a pic. It is NOT my engine compartment but it's close enough. It's a pic I found in the forum. I circled the area I am talking about.
