extra piece in X-pipe package

i have my MustangTuning off-road X-pipe installed, and there is a small leak comming from the diver side. i have a new gasket on the passenger side, and the leak is fixed there. i found a peice of tubing that slides perfectly into the flange on the driver side of the pipe, so am i supposed to install that as well? any help will be appreciated

i would put it in, i could be wrong but i think it serves as a kind of adaptor because the x-pipe is 2.5" and the regular pipe is 2.25"

You are exactly right. It goes in the drivers side tube. Fits perfect and no leaks! I installed mine on Friday.

So is this the same thing that comes with the Prochambers, if so that would be great. Thanks.

yea the same thing comes with the prochambers, installed mine mid-summer and it has yet to leak
