Factory 17" Bullets

ok, so how many of you kept your stock wheels, but upgraded tires to larger sizes? i need to see some pics, and get some info, i am wanting to run 275/50/17 on the rear, and 255/50/17 on front. anybody else done that already? any issues, rubbing or otherwise? our car is lowered with FRPP springs, so these will fill up the fender well nicely. let's see 'em...

Stock wheels are 17 X 8 and won't accommodate the tire sizes you seek. I am running 245's up front and 275's in the rear but my rims are 17 X 9. Also there are very few tire choices for the size you seek. The only tire I've found in those sizes would be the Nitto 450's and those tires are snow/mud tires and don't work very well on this car!

The Nitto 450 is NOT a Mud and Snow tire... It's Mud and Snow RATED. Most tires are M/S rated tires. It does not make them mud boggers or bad tires for street use. I have seen this misinformation on many sites about the 450's.

I had the Nittos 450's on my ride and believe me, these tires had terrible traction....the thread design is more for mud and snow...also terrible traction in the wet. Almost curbed my car because of these tires in the rain. I wouldn't put them on my car if you paid me. Just my 2 cents.
