hello guys, just traded my 98 to a 83 fox. and joined this forum. im sort of new to fox body mustang. and i've googling any kind of info of putting GT factory spoiler from 88+ onto my 83. as rit now, my trunk lid is spoiler less with no holes. from what i understand, it will just need to drill new holes then?

I'm trying to decipher your coding. Okay,, I got it. You want to install an '88 GT hatch wing on your currently wingless '83 hatch?
Yep, It should bolt right on.

And welcome!

Oh. No, a hatch wing will not fit on a trunk lid from a vert or coupe.
Or vice-versa .

I've seen it done. It does not look good. The lines don't perfectly match and it looks tacked on and out of place as the angle of the deck of the wing isn't right.

Sure I like something on the lid of my trunk too. But! The point I'm trying to get across to you is the fact that it is NOT "compatible" because the lines of a flat trunk are different than the lines of a hatch ,which is also angled. Therefore the wing will not mount properly and will look STUPID.

Tell Ya what. Drill your holes, in an attempt to mount that wing on your trunk. After your done and a bell goes off in your head when you realize that you have damaged your trunk lid?

Saleen wings are everywhere these days. If you have to have a spoiler pick one up.

I like the cobra wings on converts. Here is one on my 87. Going to put on my 90 when I get around to it. Dont put a Saleen wing on. They are hideous.
