Factory tail pipes...

I cut them off just behind the mufflers on my way to installing the new cat-back system I bought. Is there any really use for these now? If someone wanted to... could they trim them up and weld them to other exhausts?

Just wondering what people do with the factory tips... just toss em?

Mine went in the trash 9 years ago. Haven't found a purpose for them yet to make me think, "man, I wish I still had those puny 2 1/4" pipes around!"

I would absolutely keep them. I have built about 11 Mustangs in the past 8 years. I needed exhaust on 3-4 of them, and I replaced the exhaust on 10 of them. I used exhaust on the cars that needed it, from the cars that I changed it from. The cost: $0.00!!! If you are like me, and build many Mustangs, don't sell or throw away anything.

If you don't plan on building more, sell them. You wouldn't believe what I just sold my used rusty L/T's for on Ebay!!!!!
