Hey all,

I've got a 63 ranchero right now that I am putting a 347 in. It has a C4 and front disc brakes. Is this a stang only forum? Falcons and rancheros share the same chasis as the mustang :D I just want to know before I start asking questions and getting a lot of flak for it. I also have an 85 GT hatchback and have been looking through the 5.0 tech.

this is stangnet, not falconnet or rancheronet. we hate anything except mustangs.................................................................................

oh heck who am i kidding i have two falcons myself. welcome aboard:D :D

I've had 2 67 Stangs (big block fastback and a small block coupe, 1 68 coupe, a 66 coupe, a 64 T-bird, 68 Merc Monterey, 1 V8 Ranger (uses a lot of Mustang parts for the swap) 1 06 GT Stang plus the 77 Comet i have now to play with. Only reason for the 77 Comet is classic Stangs are gettin too pricey, generally need too much work, more than I want to do now. I paid $600 for the Comet, straight body, very little rust 88K miles on it. Some previous owner did the V8 swap for me, all I had to do was notch the shock towers and replace the junkyard 302 with the 331 sixpack and gut the interior for the strip.

Cool. I have been looking through this forum and it seems like a good place with good people and a LOT of traffic.

I am surprised to hear about some more falcons! I normally don't hear about any unless I am at a falcon show. Good to see some sense of humor around here, some other boards have some members who cannot recognize a joke or come up with anything entertaining to say :-O

:D We get out of hand too sometimes. Nobody's perfect.:D I mainly got on here back in 2000 on a whim, I had sold my 67 big block fastback in 89, and reading thru this forum, I realized I had a lot of stuff to share about that 67that I thought I'd forgotten. I had that car for 9 years and at one time or another went thru the whole car in mods and upkeep. I figured some might want to know before they went thru what I did without having to learn the hard way. :nice: The other Ford midsize cars are really the same underneath, what works on the classic Stangs, works on these as well. Then in doing a V8 Swap in my 89 Ranger, a lot of that is also Stang related in terms of the parts needed. Here I am rambling on again, let me shut up.

Welcome Fast63, I'll be able to answer any Ford question you have from A-Z, am I really that smart?, well no, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, heheheh. (You have seen the commercial I'm talking about I hope)
Count me in for having a sence of humor, life's to short not to.

Glad to see another Falcon owner here! I think youll find this forum much more tolerant of the Mustang brethren than other "mustangforums" you might find.

Hey Decurion, that's a couple of nice wagons! My brother has a 62 and he loves wagons, especially deliveries. He's more in the round body crowd, but I'm sure he would appreciate yours. What year is the blue one? It's interesting that the whole roof and glass look exactly like a 62/63 wagon... What's under the hood of your white one?

I'll try to get some pictures posted a little later to show everybody what I've got.

The blue one is a 65 Comet, white is a 65 Falcon. Comet has an ill running (but fresh) 302 with a 278 flat hydraulic cam, world products 185 heads, holley 600, 2500 stall c4 and 3.55 9", Falcon has stock roller short block with early gt40 heads and cobra roller rockers, t5, 3.55 8".

Hey Decurion - How'd you get a picture of my white 65 wagon? :D

Those are good looking "grocery getters"

Welcome Fast63
I was about 5 minutes from trading a 67 F100 for a 65 Sprint 2dr Hardtop this Summer, but the guy had cut a huge chunk out of the top near the windshield channel and I didn't want that kind of project, but if I waited another 5 minutes I would be the proud owner of a falcon. I love the way those falcons look.
