1. 95 mustangs came with electric fan, not a mechanical fan like you're working on.
2. to get the fan off u need a fan clutch wrench set or an air chisel to get the nut to turn, it probably is a reverse thread.

Elbow thing... hmmmm, the turn in the intake for the TB?
And yes, you can go to autozone and get the cluch tool for free to borrow.
Although, that has to be a messed car.

It doesn't sound like a fox III fan set up (more like that on a Jeep, etc). I think we might need a pic to be helpful while not making guesses. Otherwise it's like asking you to guess what color I'm thinking of right now.

Good luck.

Nope. Just bought a 93 Thunderbird engine for a stock replacement for my GT. It has the exact same engine, but has the clutch fan on the water pump. The fan will come off - I used a long adjustable wrench and held on to one of the pullies while I pulled on the wrench. Came loose with a bit of effort. I don't remember if it was reverse-thread or not. If you're having trouble removing the fan, PM me and I'll double-check the fan.

As a FYI for everyone else, the 93 Thunderbird is the same shortblock and H/C/I as the 94-95 Mustang. The lower intake appears to be the 93 intake - it has the extra sensor tapped and installed. The metal heater lines also has an extra temperature sensor in it, and the back end of them are bent, not straight like the Mustang's.

They also have different emission lines, though the pump is the same. Different headers and motor mounts as well.
