I don't know how legit this is, but if it is, i'm impressed. It makes me want to see the same kind of tune on a Taurus SHO since i imagine they have the same 3.5 twin turbo. Must be pushing 500hp to push 4800lbs down the track that fast... SHO's are around 4300.

I'm not an expert on the Taurus or the truck but isn't the motor in the Taurus smaller?

The video doesn't lie about the time, doesn't mean that it's 100% stock other than a tune though. I'm a skeptic as I've never seen one of these trucks run quite that good

A couple of the Ecoboost and 5.0 guys are in the 13s or faster on just tunes or tunes and tires on the F150 forum I post on. They're decidedly potent. Then there's one crazy guy with a fast 3.7L reg cab short bed with gears, a tune, and bolt ons. All of the F150 powerplants from 2011 on with the possible exception of the new 2.7L are REALLY beastly, there's NOT a bad choice between the 3.5, 3.5EB, 3.7, 5.0, or 6.2 in them. My 3.7 honestly beats the daylights out of two of my last three V8 trucks in every category except gas mileage (it loses to all three there, but I finally figured out why last night).

No. The N/A Taurus gets the 3.5 V6, the SHO gets the 3.5 Ecoboost. 2011-2014 F150s get the 3.7N/A and the 3.5 Ecoboost, and the 2015 F150 has choices of a 2.7 Ecoboost, 3.5 N/A, and 3.5 Ecoboost.

Yeah, i see on Fuelly that the 5.0s are getting slightly better overall MPGs than the 3.5 Ecoboost.

My friend at work had a '13 Ecoboost and went for a 5.0 when he bought a '15.

The 5.0:

The 3.5 Ecoboost:
