Hello i recently bought a 88 Vert with heavy mods.. Car doesnt feel like its running the way its supposed to.. 2nd gear is really slow.. 1st gear spins all the way but when i hit 2nd and floor it, the car boggs then starts to pick up power around 4000rpm range...

These are the mods

Trick Flow Street Heat Aluminum Heads w/ upgraded springs (Autolite 24s gapped @ .52)
Trick Flow Track Heat Intake w/ inch spacer
1.6R Ford Racing Rockers
77mm MAF
70MM Throttle Body w/ spacer
C&L Tube With K&N Filter
24LB Fuel Injectors
110 Fuel Pump
Headman LongTube Headers
BBK Offroad H Pipe
Borla Mufflers
BBK Fuel Pressure Regulator
Dampener Kit
March Aluminum Pullies
MSD Ignition
MAS Pro-Billet Disributor
Hi-6 Crane Ball Ignition timing?
Cast Camber Plates

Rear -Wheel Disc Brake Kit w/ BAER brakes
4.10 Gears
Tremec 3550 Tranny
Hurst Short Shifter
SVO Axles
Aluminum Driveshaft
King Cobra Clutch
ALuminum Flywheel
Koni Shocks
MOMO Racing Seats
4pt RollCage
Sparco Steering Wheel

Im not sure which PSI the fuel pressure is set at and i dont know where my timing is set at....

I just got this car a month ago, the last owner had Autolite 25s in there I replaced them with autolite 24s.. The last owner also told me that he recently replaced the fuel pump, he put a 110LPH fuel pump.. I believe fuel pressure might be way off

What should the car be running at the 1/4 mile with these mods? And what camn cause the power loss?

A car with mods like that definitely shouldn't feel slow.

Checking timing and fuel pressure sounds like a good place to start.

Yeah i do lol we took the top of the motor off... i posted up pics before in another post... The cam is a COMP CAM - duno which model but the heads/rockers/springs/24lb/intake/ and everything else is visible.. We instaled the clutch ourself and seen the aluminum flywheel.. the definetly got 4.10s because i have another 5.0 with 3.73s and im usually cruising going 70-80 on 2000rimps on 5th... On this one im crusing at 65MPH at 2300RPMS.. so has to be 4.10s

Have you checked for codes??Get the timing and FP figured out...without details your guessing...when you guess you ASSUME...and you know what that makes. Get the info needed and then you can ask where to to next...you can look at adv/retard the cam and other possibles to wake the car up if everything else checks out FIRST.

You need autolite 3924's gapped around .045-.050 NOT autolite 24's!

one question, have you had it tuned? Because with a TFS H/C/I along with everything else you mentioned, and the gears...your car should be fast as h e double hockey sticks. I'm guessing you just need a tune. But i'm guessing most of your problem is the fuel pressure.

No i havent gotten it tuned.. I only had the car for two weeks now, we already took off upper intake to re-wire the injector wiring because the last owner rigged most of the wiring...

Wrong plugs. Re-time it set fuel to 40 with vacuum off.
