My new badges had 4 locating pins on them. I cut off the 2 side ones and the bottom one. I filed them flat and used the top pin into the top factory hole in the fender. This badge covers the other hole, no problems.

Thanks, Dave. Unfortunately, I don't think that my Tri-bar emblem will fit over the holes unless the holes are close together. Are they close together, or are they more towards the outer horizontal edges of the "GT" badge?

I can't wait to get home and do this tonight. Is it hard to take off the GT emblem? Also, is there a specific kind of 3M tape that I need to use and are they readily available in hardware stores?
I really do appreciate your help, and I love the drawing. Very artistic.
Glad I could help out. I took mine off, by using a hair dryer. Heat the emblem then pry off slowly. I bought the 3m automotive tape at my local hardware store!
Post pictures when you done.

Think I will swap out the fender badges on this car. If anyone has a suggestion or better yet some pics I would appreciate it. I am looking for something TASTEFUL in other words the total OPPOSITE of those ridiculous looking 40th Anniversary Badges I have seen. Those are truly the worst badges I think I have EVER seen! PLEASE POST PICS!! THANKS!!
