Hey guys nothing special here but finally got the bay all done I think. I've just got a few nuts and bolts to tinker with but everything is running good. I decided to ditch the electric fan idea and just go back to the stock fan clutch. I think its a much more conventional setup and the couple hp it robs is not a big deal, so I sold all my electric fan stuff and went back to stock. I also wised up and decided the manual steering idea was kind of ridiculous and put the power steering back on with a new rack, tie rods, new pump and hoses. Hoping this thing is going to run as good as new when its ready. I still have to bleed the brakes before I can take her out for a real spin. Next up is to get the interior put back together, and then work on the outside. Last but not least the nitrous kit goes on.

You'll need to move the cone air filter out of the engine compartment. Like it sits, it will suck up hot turbulent air and cause uneven airflowthrough the MAF. The factory airbox if you still have it, is the best choice.

Thanks Joe, I still have the stock airbox with a k&n in it, and I was thinking about throwing it back on anyways. I need to find some of those studs that hold it in place.

The setup up is ported gt40p heads, tfs 1 cam, tfs intake, MAC long tubes, VRS xpipe, bullet mufflers, and under drive pulleys, that's about it for the engine.

I ditched the turbo idea, the cost was just too much, I had put it all aside and just wanted to get the car running, which I succeeded in doing but now am not really interested in finishing the turbo. I have a nitrous kit I am going to throw on. I would love to throw some boost on it later on down the road when I have a better job and more cash flow, but if I were to do that I would buy a direct bolt on kit, rather than build my own, whether it be supercharger, or turbo kit.

whats the duration on the tfs1 cam? seems like you could go with a tfs2 with your setup but that may be a little steep. just wondering.

Honestly I dont know why I didnt go with the stage 2. I did the swap over a year ago and did a lot of research and ultimately decided on the stage 1, hopefully it wasn't because I was too lazy to measure the ptv clearance because that would not be a good enough reason. Oh well, too late now.

Ah, I had a very similar setup on my 89 years ago. That was a fun little street car.

I don't think the TF2 would have been worth it with GT40P's. I doubt they can flow enough to make it worth it.

Bay looks great! Hope I can get mine that clean if I ever get my old 302 out.

haha thanks man, finally got the brakes done today and took her out for a spin. Didn't go out too long though as it has no plates, no insurance and I have no drivers license haha but luckily i live on back roads and was able to nail it a few times. Man its been like 2 years since I've driven this car, what a great feeling.
