I lost some wheel base due to the K member so I want to push the wheels back out some but running wheels spacers seems to be a problem at the track regarding passing Tech. I wanted to run these.

But according to the track those do not pass tech. What I was thinking is what if I just run 17" Wheels on the front for the track ( Skinny's) to clear my front brakes. I have SSBC 3 Piston calipers and 13" rotors, should 17" skinny's clear those? Also does this sound like a logical thing to do as far as just running the spacers for the street (since they are easy to remove) and take them off at the track to run the 17" fronts? I dont think 15" wheels will clear my brakes on the front so that's why Im thinking 17's.

Thanks

Why do they not pass tech, did they give any reason? What skinny wheels are you planning on running? Would the spacers work if you replaced the studs with longer ones?

They did not give a reason why, they just said they would not pass tech. I was going to run Race Star 17" rims now. Before it was the weld 15" fronts. Them not passing tech had nothing to do w/ the studs b/c they said they would also have to stick out beyond the nut anyway

Don't know then. I run 1/2" spacer with the 15" Prostar skinnies but I have 3" studs on both cars. I've seen '03/04 cobras at the track running some pretty thick spacers to clear the brakes with no problems passing tech.

Found out why. Its b/c they are "bolt On" Spacers. They bolt onto the hub. These are the ones I need. The other ones bolt to the hub and then the studs come out from the spacer. With the linked once its all bolted as one piece.

1/2 thick wheel spacers, 5-Lug, hubcentric, pair, 1994-04 [MMWS-4] : Maximum Motorsports, the Latemodel Mustang Performance Suspension Leader!

Found out what stud's ( Kurl diameter) I need thanks to the search button from a thread back in 05

So Im going to stick w/ the 15" rims that a friend from Mass is selling. $375 for the wheels, tires and lug nuts.
