Fianl verdict: Mercon V or II/III for AODE?

I have to swap the rad., as a bad tranny cooler line connection has been leaking tranny fluid pretty bad (as well as antifreeze!!). When I top off the AODE finally, should I be using Mercon V or the II or III I heard a few people mention?
(aka, what will be best to avoid the "new tranny fluid=death" thing?)

I used V, but i heard it is not good to mix

I don't think I'm going to risk the flush; I've heard too many opinions advising to the contrary. I figure I'll just top off what's leaked out from the bad rad.

then I would stick with what is in there already (presumably Mercon). As was said, I would not mix the two fluids.

Do not mix the 2 fluids if you are doing a total flush with a T-tech machine or something like that then I recommend the merc V but if you are just topping off it is regular dex mercon.
