I bought this decklid and end caps from stangaholics, I’m having trouble figuring out what I need to do to make it fit? I’m thinking either sanding the edge to make it fit or cut the quarters and move them out? Any advice would be appreciated the end caps rub the decklid

I have an older thread on here where I was fitting a similar deck lid and end caps. Lets just say...you get a LOT of extra material to play with when trying to get everything to fit! I was using a 36 grit flap wheel on an angle grinder to knock the fiber glass down. I fit the deck lid close to where I wanted it and started knocking down the end caps. I've taken a 1/2" off the end cap lips and have another 1/2" to go (tapered). Then a final fit and grinding. I haven't touched it in awhile since I got caught up in another part of the build. You're fitting imperfect 3d pieces to an imperfect 3d base...it's going to suck, lol.

The left side pic looks like the trunk lid needs to come up in the front

This one is pretty simple ,sand the upper tip on the inside edge of the end cap ,start by drawing a line with a pencil as to what you would like the gap to be ,sand the rest off up to your line until you like the gap . Fitting fiberglass is a little tough ,somtimes you may need to ad slightly or remove slightly ,going off aftermarket quarters can multiply a problem area

As for the front edge ,it looks like the lower window filler panel is a bit flat ,i have had to lay a 4 x4 across the trunk floor and use a bottle jack with a block of wood on top under the edge of the panel an gently lift it ,it usually doesnt have to move much ,i just had to do this on a conversion to raise this panel edge up at the trunk lid to make it line upjust some of the things we have to do
