fiberglass hoods

i've heard stories of some being really big rip offs (brands)

i really don't know which are good and which aren't, but my girlfriend may buy me one for my birthday, and i was curious whats a good fiberglass company to go with?

i was thinking 2-3" cowl, simple....
also, can you leave the hood in the state you buy it in, without paint and not damage it out in the weather and such?

sorry, never really look up on hoods much....

any help appreciated

oh yeah, would i be better off getting a 'norma'l bolt on hood or getting one that pins on?

i have delt with ABC exclusive in the past. It was about a saleen wing, not a hood, but they have great prices.

also, if your into working on your car like every single day, go pin-on, other wise---bolt on. but, with a pin on, you cant just show someone your motor, you would have to take the whole hood off. bolt on all the way.

well i've heard of cervinis and the others, but who has hoods or parts and such from them?

can you use them 'out of the box' so to speak? without paint or primer?
they have a gelcoat or somthing to protect from weather?
