Hey guys, so it feels like the day is here when I can finally get this beast going... but not surprisingly not so much! LOL
So everything is back together, I still have to wire my SPAL controller but for now am just going to have it running all the time for the break in period etc.
So I tried turning it over and get a click click click, I think I should take the spark plugs out and turn it over with 0 compression to build up the oil pressure.
I am having trouble figuring out the solenoid wiring, I thought I took decent pics but I guess not. So I think this is what is setting me back.
Can someone verify that I am doing this right or wrong, oh and I need to make sure everything is grounded, computer ground after mass air conversion, engine block to frame ground.
So on the solenoid I put the starter cable on the poll closest to the front of the car, and close to the firewall poll, I put the battery from trunk positive, the red/blue ignition on the top, and the 3 g heavy gauge alt. wire.
Then here is what I think but could be wrong...
there is a black connector that looks like it could go on a post, has no fuse and is just two black wires that goes to one. Should that go to the inner fender wall as a ground?
Then there is a black w/ white stripe wire that has a square silver I think fuse that should go to the pole closest to the firewall with the positive.
There is three other open connecter ends that come from the main harness, one is two wires into 1, the two wires are red and the other is black with orange that goes to 1 fusible link 14GA that turns to a single green wire. Is that supposed to go to the power aswell.
then there is a yellow wire that has 4 wires going to one, on the 4 wires there are two fusible links that say 16GA. Should the yellow wire also be hooked up to the positive.??
Other than that I think I should be okay, I have the top spark plug ignition wire taken off just to be able to turn it over to build up the fuel pressure but can't seem to get it to turn. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, should the solenoid be grounded anywhere somehow?
I can add some pics if anyone has questions, I have my video camera ready and will post a start up video on you tube for anyone interested!
Thanks guys, I really appreciate any help, I'm just itching so bad to hear what it sounds like, 347 with Trick flow Heads, Custom Cam, Trick Flow intake, etc.
