Man, based on some previous google/youtube searches, everyone seemed to praise the flowmaster 40 series as the ultimate exhaust sound on the pushrod 5.0. I guess I'll have to look at some other options, haha.

Pretty sure I took that pic before I drained the oil..I tried not to go too crazy tight when I put it back on. I will take a look again when I have the car back up on ramps or jack stands.Hey Dude, did you over tighten it?
Something to do with emissions/catalytic converters perhaps?It was connected to an old exhaust pipe. Looks like someone cut it off there and left that piece in the hanger.

What a relief, lol. I couldn’t see it that well on my car (garage definitely needs better lighting) and my brain immediately thought..this looks problematic! Something is missing!Here is what that piece does on an exhaust that comes with them:
Oh man...The oil pan gasket sounds like a nightmare. I watched BREW2L’s video on doing that without lifting the engine and it doesn’t look pleasant...Yeah looks like rear main seal leak, oil pan gasket leak, oil level sensor leak, both oil pan drain plugs leaking.
All pretty common leaks in these cars or any car of this age.
Like someone already mentioned spray everything down with brake cleaner first and try to get a better idea of
exactly what's leaking.
Just FYI...
To fix the rear main you'll need to pull the transmission/clutch , remove and replace rear main seal.
To fix the oil pan gasket....well you could pull the engine making it easy to access the pan/gasket
or......
Pull upper intake, unbolt motor mounts, jack engine up as high as it will go,
support engine , unbolt pan let it rest on K member, reach up into pan and drop oil pump
and pick-up in pan, fight the pan out of the K member , install gasket and reverse order.
I've done it the second way twice and it's a PIA !!
40’s were Dronemasters on my car, and not being able to talk with someone or really hear the Pioneer stereo were problems.
A high flow BBK cat X pipe and Super Turbo mufflers is mean at idle, but does not require ear plugs on the highway.
I’d get that surface rust neutralized and sealed now before it becomes structural. Is it near where the battery could have leaked on your model? The rail and tower are structural on the unibody.
Baking soda and water will take care of the acid, then a wire brush clean up, Rusoleum Rusty Metal Primer and a good top coat will do a good job, even on a budget. Then make sure the battery tray is not cracked in case the battery leaks again.
The exhaust pipe looks like it got a muffler bandage applied to it. That’s a temporary fix. If there is a hole, and a bad fix if it is splicing pipes together.

I just have the Lil Wayne CD the seller left in the car but haven't driven the fox on long enough trips to really need anything additional to listen to.my radio sucks for reseption, I play cds most of the time anyway.
