im finally getting everything together for my turbo.i got a t-4 60mm ptrim for free.cant complain about that.im ordering the rest of the stuff this weekend.:D i'll post pics when i get everything

I just hooked up my 5 gal air tank and ran a line to my intake and set the regulator at 18 psi and WOW what a ride. Lasts for about 1-2 hours and then I go to the air pump and fill it back up. I have a total of 30 dollars into this and I think I will be in the 10's maby low 11's. I might try to put an A/C compresser on the car and have it fill the tank with a flic of the switch.

I dont know I was just making that up but I have been thinking about that for a while do you think it could actually be done. I want boost but can't afford it and I have a crazy head so that is what this brain thought up.

Couldnt hurt to try, well maybe it could...but try it anyhow.

:D

In the mid 50's for half the year guys were doing something simular to this in drag racing. They had a compressed oxygen bottle in the car with them. it was plumbed into a intake system. they had a switch i guess you call it so that under normal operation the engine was fed normal air. then when drag racing the air inlet was sealed and the oxygen was force fed into the engine. kinda like a prestoric nitrous system. Anyways it was banned because it was way dangerous having a 2400 psi oxygen bottle strapped into the car.

Sounds good. Post updates with pics for us. I'm especially interested because I pulled a huge rotomaster/garrett t04 60/1.00 for $16 at the local yard. I'm looking to do a single, but have a few pairs of matching turbos set aside too for TT. :D I pick up 3-4 of them a wk for under under $80 at my local yard. Then resell them on ebay for usually 4x $$$.

LOL... the name of the game is not 18 psi of compressed air from a rubber ducky inflator... it's about CFM. Running a garden hose full of air into your intake will do little more than make your mass air meter sneeze from the turbulance. Bypass the meter and discover a condition that resembles a vac leak.

The pure 02 tank is pure genius, by the way. Anyone ever weighed one of those things? I'd be interested in knowing how the old timers who used this idea, rejetted their fuel delivery on the fly once pure 02 was injected into the induction system.
