I wanted to re-introduce myself.
My name is Erica Ortiz.
I actually was one of the founding members of Stangnet. It was the first forum I ever joined, and I owe a lot of the knowledge and friends I made in the Mustang world to this site. I was a regular around here back in the early 2000's, as I first began learning about the cars and racing in the old Fun Ford Weekend series.
I eventually moved up the ranks racing, created my own website (Horsepower & Heels - Celebrating, promoting and supporting female racers and women in motorsports) and worked in the industry as well. Facebook/Twitter, and just my own hectic life took me away from keeping up on the forms over the years, but I'm very grateful for all the friends and the things I learned from Stangnet.
Now-a-days, I'm a Marketing Communications Manager by day for an RV Electronics company, and editor-in-chief for HorsepowerandHeels.com by night. I still have my Twin Turbo BBF Mustang Pro 5.0 car, although it's a bit outdated to compete in Pro Mod, I'm hoping it will make a comeback in Nostalgia Pro 5.0 someday. I'm also aiming at finding some opportunities to combine career and passion by returning to the industry, fingers crossed they come through.
Anyways, I wanted to say hello to the site! I'm learning the new format, and love that it is still as active as ever!
