Finding the right mix with Suspension

Hey Folks, Bought an 06 GT for my DD that had a set of Eibach pro springs on it (1" drop) The ride quality has deteriorated a lot and I want to replace the Shocks and Struts to see if I can make it a bit more comfortable. I dont intent to take it to the track.
Anyone have any experience with mixing makes on susp. components? Of course the manuf. want you to use all their parts. What will work well with my Eibach springs?
