Here's the pictures of the engine bay i did on my friends 85 GT this summer. Im real happy with the results. All the work was done by me where it sits. He cant wait to get the car finished. His block is being machined, and his K-member just came in. And his AFR's are in the mail. Enjoy!

I took all summer, but I would go up to his house 2 days a week for like 4 hours, and we spent alot of time bsing and makin runs to parts stores for supplies. Asher (the owner) is one of the funniest kids i know, the whole time he sat and watched and made me laugh so it was an awesome time doing it.

Did you make new panels for the sides? If so do you have templates? I plan to do this to my car sometime in the near future...

We bought a plate of 18 guage steel at lowes for like 10 bucks and made templates with cardboard, transferred them to the steel and tacked em in place. started the process by boxing the frame rails, then the side plates went in, then i did the openings behind the headlights. i had to leave that little 2x3 hole to access the connector for the high beam bulb, the low beam can be accessed by reaching up under the car. I'd say all the supplies cost about 150-200 bucks. We were able to use alot of tools borrowed from some guys my buddy works with.

Yeah I already welded all the holes and smoothed the sides and boxed the frame rails, but plan to go more in depth with it soon. I will have to wait to see if I go SC or stay NA, because Id hate to cut a hole for the CAI and have it not work with the SC or vice versa!

all the holes are filled so far and i went crazy grinding it the other night. if it ever stops snowing and gets above freezing maybe i will be able to do more. looking at those pics i realized i want to box in my frame rails too. i really wish i could fillt hat hole where the air box went but i think that my turbo sticks in there abit
