Gotta have a fire extinguisher on board while on track during the Mustang 40th in Nashville in a couple of weeks.

Any suggestions for where/how to mount? I'd prefer the trunk so I don't have to drill holes through any interior pieces.

Thanks,

If they require it, it must be within reach of the driver. Just see if you can lay it on the seat next to you, otherwise bungee it to the passenger seat with a towel underneath to protect the leather.

Get a small one and stick it in the cupholder?

And when you finish the victory lap, stop, get out of the car, jump around and spray yourself down with the extinguisher, screaming..."I WON, I WON"!

Where I have seen one and it looked pretty cool is bolted to the passenger side A pillar.

Better than the jeep look on the a pillar, is just below the center concole on the passenger side. It will not be in your way, easily accessable and you only have to put two small slits to bolt the bracket down! So if you want to remove it you can very easily!

The literature they have sent out doesn't specify where it has to be, or if it has to be in reach. Someone elsewhere suggested that I lay down one of the back seats, and use a nylon hold down strap around the seatback to hold it. Not in reach, though.

Cupholder? It would have to be pretty small. They do specify that it must be securely fastened or strapped.

Victory lap?? My wife thinks I'm hot, but I don't think I need a fire extinguisher.
