Firewall question

Sorry bud, my car is an auto or I'd have already snapped a pic for ya. I recall articles in the magazines for converting to a hydraulic clutch, have you looked on their websites?

There should be a plugged hole on the firewall you can punch out to feed the clutch rod through. I can't snap a pic because the rod is hidden behind a bunch of stuff.

Are you making this yourself or did you buy a hydraulic kit with no instructions?

On the "ear" that sticks out the side of the pedal. I have to run but I'll post a pic in a bit.

edit - I took the pic with my old camera thinking it's be "faster" but I can't find the card reader. Basically it's in line with the ear of the clutch pedal, on the bottom hole. It is to the upper-left of the steering column. I think that's the speedo cable immediately above the hole.

my '73 didn't have a plug. i looked until i was blue in the face. i ended just threading the rod from the clutch pedal to the firewall. on my car the rubber seal around the steering column was large enough to pass it through. i did a four speed changeover on a '71 back in '80 and i remember doing the same thing. i don't recall there being a plug in the firewall on that car either. is it possible that Ford made 2 different firewalls?

Does this help?
