I was a lucky man who received a free ticket to VIR with a Pit Pass! Yeah! That totally rocked!
But I'm not here only to brag, I'm here to share some pics! Noramally I'm in the 4.6 and classic forums but I thought you guys might enjoy these photos more.

In the end, Ford did well with two podium positions, 1st and 3rd.

However, there was a down side to the day. My convertable which I never take out in the rain I took to the track because it gets the best gas milage out of all the cars I own. Half way to the track it started down pouring and I was pretty bummed out. But it got worse. When I got to the track the parking was in the grass and it was still raining.
After the race my brother (chevy guy) and I walk back to my stang get in and start her up. The moment I let the clutch out she started to slide down the hill, spun around, and burried it self in mud.
So while I called the track to get some help the guy on the other end of the phone says to me " are you the guy in the red mustang?" "Yes" "oh, we've already heard about you and have a tractor coming to get you out" "Great NOT" WTF they've heard about me already. Damn word spreads quick. So while a damn tractor is pulling me out my brother is out of the car taking pictures to make fun of me with. BASTARD
After it was all said and done this is what my baby, that never sees the rain, looked like.

I still had fun today and my car didn't get hurt. I stopped at the first car wash and pressure washed the whole car, undercarage and body. I felt better then, and I didn't have to drive all the way home with mud all over my car.

Ya I've got pictures of the Cobra....how do you not take pictures of that? That thing sounded way better than the 05's. Sorry to say that, I was really depressed how the new stangs sounded. But they got the job done and kicked everyone elses butt.

Sweet the Korn Cobra!

I just had my Cobra on the track Friday. It was my fourth open track day. I got some good comments about the sound, especially the blower whine.

Sorry to hear about the mud excursion. Always makes it worse when some jackass has a camera. Hehe I'm usually that jackass.

My brother tends to be that same guy when it comes to me or Fords.

Man I would love to get out there on the track. I just don't think my wife or insurance company would care for that. Not to mention the tire bill.

What is with the Korn car? They have that Cobra and an 05 mustang. Is that the band Korn?

Thanks for the sympathy on the 4X4 excursion! I was pretty embarassed getting drug out backwards by a tractor in front of hundreds of people.

All of the open track days I've done were "driver training". I'm now qualified for the Novice class in ICSCC. Since it's driver training my insurance covers these "training events". It's a freaking blast. Bring the wife, some clubs allow passengers in the car.
