My buddy knows the guy who did the one in chicago, it was fake as well so they are 0/2 for being real, I don't give it much credit seeing how their racing methods are pretty weak

You really think speed tv is going to give that guy the amount of money he put into that 83 fox back to him, just so they can have a cool little show? BS

Why not? I know I put over $20,000 into my 85' mustang but know I can only sell it for $5,000 because of practicality. So say i want to sell it but now I have a chance at winning someone elses ride with it. If I do lose it, they reimburse me the $5,000 I was going to sell it for anyways so I could give a flip which I'm sure isn't even a fraction of the amount of money that show makes per episode.

The answer to your question is, Yes! People can race on their own at their racetracks for pink slips if they want. Why would one go across country on their own expense to lose their car AND give Speed Tv free programming. I wouldn't be surprised if Speed Tv was giving the loser some money for the car being if it wasen't for him risking his car, they wouldn't have a show in the first place!!

Not saying they do this, just surprised if they don't. That make any sense???

they just need to run heads up every race. use the damn tree too. that guy looks like a total ass hat standing there with his hands up. race them heads up, if you get wailed on too bad i guess you didnt build a fast enough car. i think im gonna build a top fuel car and go on there and not give the guy even one car length. id just be like well, i guess you should have built a faster car.

If that is so, then why would they have a show called over haulin, and "steal" peoples rides, and throw thousands of dollars into them?

Same thing goes for reality tv shows...you think there gonna pay all that money for them to stay in some huge place in some nice city just to see what happens? I think not.

On a side note, i think its funny that they call it reality TV because the reality that is portrayed is what you see after the Editors get done with it.

You see the episode with the AMP Mustang? I was just in there shop and the have the block from that car in there show room. Crank is cracked in half and the block is well lets just say a few pounds lighter than it shoud be. But if they lost why do they have the block? unless they bought it back or some thing. And a friend of mine knows the guys that raced that wully mamomth. He said he say them the same week after the race with that car.

And as far as the show goes to much bitching over a half a length and not enough racing. Everyone says the other guys are "sandbagging". When I think of a drag race its run what you brung, not run what you brung and take off the NOS or Slicks or what ever. And stand around for 10mins complaning how much faster the other car is. They should pay a professional drag racer to run there cars with a light tree and compare there times... i.e.. car A is 3tenths faster so turn Car As light on 3tenths befor Car B. But then I guess its not the cars going up againts each other its the drivers, but it would make for better TV. 3 close races rather than a 20lenght head start crap. Thats just my opinion.
