I AM the random post master...bow down
I agree, work on your launches some and you'll see a lot better times. I managed to run a 2.1 60' when my car was stock.

yep, keep in mind that nobody has EVER been happy with their time their very first time out... I only ran 17's and 16's my first time, it definitely takes practice
yeah traction was pretty much non-existant....I had to wait about 10-15 feet off the line before I could really get on it......rear tires might as well be made out of plastic...... .........thanks for the encouragement/advice....

if traction is a big problem and money is a problem.. find a friend with some slicks and throw them on the back for a couple runs..
First time I went ever to race on a dragstrip I did a best of 14.4 I had full exhaust, 3:55's 17 x 9 chrome wheels, REALLY bad T5 and clutch. The time after, I did a 14.04 , 14.05, 14.06 with the same mods. Youre gonna improve for sure. My best ever 60ft was 1.79 (Drag radials). My best ever mph is 98.7mph. I did a total of 15 runs in my life at the track. I'm still a newbie
My first time at the track my best time was a 15.4 at 93MPH, after that it just got worse b/c the non preped track just went to hell from all the cars making runs. Later on During Ford Fun Weekend later that Yr I saw 95 Cobras running worse times then I was on a well preped track so that made me feel alot better.
Welcome, Stangnet is a fun site theres alot of good guys here in the 94/95 Section, thats prob becase we have the best cars

My first run ever was a 16.08 at 91 MPH when she was bone stock. With no other changes to the car and me going to the track weekly got it down to a 14.4/94MPH. So by looking at your 60 foots it looks like there is much more in it and the driver needs practice.

actually that thought has come up,friend of mine has a set of 26x10" slicks and some 5 lug V-6 wheels, but I really dont think my clutch can handle the slicks. Its a stock replacement from Zoom.

yeah I should have clarified that it was 1/8 mile but I knew you guys would figure it out
