i took my car today for about an hour,and now my air bag light stay on,no more flashing!??? what the f*** is going on????

The only sure way to find out: Stick you ear right up to the wheel and listen very closely while someone bangs on the front bumper with a sledge hammer.

well when it was flashing the problem was happening at that exact time, since it stays on it means that the fault is still there but its a stored code but you still need to get the code pulled. You can go to autozone they can do that for you

I dont know if they can read airbag codes I think ford might do that
Just as a side note when my car starts the airbag light flashes 5 times then stays on It has done it for a year but it doesnt concern me.

I'd rather it not work. Ever been hit with one? I have ONCE. It blows goats. When I ride with my friend in his truck, I make him turn the passenger side off.
After some search, i think i know my problem,i relocate my battery in the trunk this week(that where my air bag light start flashing) and i got some ground problem,so i think when i will fix this problem my air bag problem should be solve...i hope.
BTW,i know it's of topic but, where do you guy bolt you neg cable when you move the bat in the trunk?

My airbag light is flashing. It just started flashing tonight, after I put a "instant fill" gas cap on and a resistor in my IAT for testing purposes.

her we go the flashing was a code decoder if you will, look in your repair manual and it will give you a code definition for 53 or call a dealership and they should tell ya. and to be way off topic like topless98 said in a quote the mustang has the sweetest sound a trained ear can hear one from 5 blocks away i beleive it, i was once told than mine could be herd from a mile in half i had to hear it for myself so i let pops drive shur enough i could

53 Internal Diagnostic Monitor Fault
That is the LFC (lamp fault code) 53 code. That LFC can mean any number of things.
When the ignition is cycled (turned off and then on), the air bag indicator will begin its prove out sequence. During prove out the air bag indicator will illuminate for six seconds , go off for two seconds and then, if a system fault exists, flash the two-digit LFC. The air bag indicator will flash the LFC five times, then it will remain illuminated for the rest of the key cycle.
Now if you have a 35, that means Passenger Air Bag Circuit Resistance Low and you would have a DTC B1935 set. That is a more serious code.
The 53 is a low priority code, but either way unless you have the ability to run a On Demand Self Test looking at the RCM (Restraint Control Module) parameters, I would just take it to the dealer. They also have special deactivation/activation diagnosis tools.

Is that with the Bassani O/R X and the Flowmasters? I honestly wouldn't doubt that it could be heard that far away. sicK96GT heard me at WOT when I was getting on the highway one day, and that was about a mile away! He said it was loud and clear

My battery looks near brand new. I've had it for almost 2 years. 7 year warranty on that bitttttttch!
What I was getting at was, for the most part, unless you've been messing with wiring, screwed up a sensor, or pulled the airbag then put it back in without knowing what you're doing, they generally don't just get screwed up, or throw lights.
For the most part, nearly every airbag light thread I've seen here has ended up being a charging system problem, bad ground, bad alt, drained batt, etc.

I might have a bad alternator. Anyone know what the 52 code is? The dealership wanted $75 just to tell me what that meant.
On the other hand, I've been messing with the wiring in the trunk. My "always hot" 12v line to the trunk has gone bad somewhere between the I/P fuse panel and the trunk light harness. I found this out due to my sequential kit not working and tracing it back to those locations. So for now, the sequential kit is tapped into the park-lights 12v wire.
Could this have affected it?
