What are good floor jacks that are long lasting affordable and can get under a foxbody thats lowered no problem? I hate jacks that leak or come down to fast.

Craftsman 4000 lb. Capacity Aluminum Jack - Model 50239 at Sears.com

This is the one I bought. I got mine for $150 I think. I didn't read the negative reviews before I bought it. Mine has worked well so far, but I've only had it for about 3 months.

I'm rocking a big honkin' blue floor jack from Autozone (Duralast brand). Every once in awhile, it'll drool a bit of fluid if I leave the car's weight on it for too long or jack it up too high, but otherwise it stays sealed and works quite nicely. Just wish the thing didn't weigh a friggin' ton - it's got to be at least 50 lbs.

Harbor Freight has some pretty nice aluminum "racing" floor jacks for pretty cheap, and you can get an add-on warranty for them.

I've been using a big racing jack that I got for free when I worked at AZ, some bum returned it because "it didnt work"; it still works fine after four years. I also got one of those small floor jacks for free too, I couldve had like five or six jacks in the time span I worked there.

Avoid craftsman. I had one that broke after about a months worth of light use. Don't get me wrong I like Craftsman sockets, but anything else, like a floor jack, or the torque wrench that I had that also broke after mild use, AVOID.

Funny you should be looking for a jack because I just bought one this weekend.
I almost bought the racing one from sears and was looking at two 1.5 ton racing jacks from Harbor Freight.

Unless you get a high end jack, they are all pretty much the same and made in CHINA . Some people have some that blow out and leak quickly and some will last for a few years and not give the user many problems at all.

I ended up with a 3 ton low profile Torin Big red jack from autozone. It came with two jack stands and was 129.00. I needed the low profile jack to fit under my wife's Miata and under my Mustang and it also needed to lift my Honda Ridgeline. It is HEAVY as hell, but I don't think I will need to lift it too often.

Like I wrote, they are all pretty much the same so decide what you are going to use it for, look for one with the specs you need, and buy the one with the best price or wait for a sale.

A few years back I asked for a low-profile Craftsman jack for Christmas from my parents. I got it, but the build quality was so sketchy (weld splatter, sloppy weld beads, rough wheel castings, crappy paint job, etc) that I took it back to Sears and exchanged it for a nice cordless Makita drill.

I've been using my tiny little 2-ton 20 year old no-name jack and its doing just fine.

Ive got the 4000 pound aluminum jack that was mentioned eariler and i love it, quality is good, is super light, dosent leak and allows you to let the car down VERY slow. I used to use my uncles 3-ton, that thing weighed a ton, and everytime i put the car on jackstands it was like an on off swithc bleeding the pressure out.

Get the 4000 pound one, ive had myne for a good 4 or 5 years with no issues. and if it breaks, bring it back.... lifetime warranty

Edit:

Sadly a lot of Craftsman stuff is made in China now, they used to be one of the best names in tools. My buddy has a garage full of older USA made Craftsman tools, but he's been replacing broken/worn out stuff with SK and Makita tools since he wont buy anything made in China.

I'd like people not to tell me what not to buy and what to buy if you know what I mean. I want to spend under 150 and be able to lift lowered mustangs with ease.

Just wanted to say that this thread inspired me to finally go out and replace my tired old floor jack. I bought one of those aluminum low-profile 3000lb Duralast ones from AZ. I used it last night to work on my buddy's Jetta and again this morning to change the oil in my Fusion, and I have to say, so far, I like it. I paid about 140 for it (that includes tax).
