Whats up ppl. I just got a 2004 Stang GT. Stick shift. Car is dead stock except for a MAC cold air intake. Heres my question. Im thinking of getting some mufflers now. Im looking to get the Flowmaster 40 Series. How will they sound if i jst keep both cats and stock piping on the car? I want an aggresive sound but not hella loud. I got my licensed revoked and if i get pulled over im in trouble. will it make a big difference from the stock mufflers? Are spintechs better with the same setup? Thanks in advanced for all your replies!!

P.S. Does anyone know where i can hear the same setup im looking at? (Youtube?) Thanks

i think it sounded great on my car, people will automatically say they're played out on mustangs, but its for a reason

just search flowmaster 40's on mustang on youtube, theres plenty of clips available.

licensed revoked? is it worth driving man? you cant wait till your stint is over?

You got your license revoked and your rippin' around in a Mustang now? Lol. Good luck with that. When I got my GT I got pulled over my third week of owning it because the cop knew me and he was curious. Of course he tried to say I took a corner a little too fast and he could get me on driving to endanger. I called his bluff and of course he handed me back my license and said have a nice day.

Thanks elitejay and thunderhorse. Do you guys think it's worth the $200(installed) I'm paying? Atleast for sound difference... Thanks

Flows with a stock midpipe sound excellent IMO, first mod I did to my car. Its not loud but gives it a nice rumble.

$200 for flows/install dont sound bad to me, but you could probably pick up the catback for not a whole lot more and bolt it up youreself.

Those are usually everyones first mod, mine included. They sound good with a stock mid. I got real tire of having mine sound like everyones elses though. Oh and why the hell would you drive on a revoked license? You do know thats an ARRESTABLE OFFENSE right? I mean its cool to work on and mod but don't drive Up to you though, if want some nice new shiney bracelets

I agree. $200 doesn't sound too bad. But for a couple hundred more you could just get the entire cat back with new/bigger tips. The install really isnt that hard at all as long as you have some jack stands. Youtube is a great source for exhaust clips.

The guys are right don't waste your money on just the mufflers. Afterwards you will crave for it to be louder like I am right now.
