can someone educate me about what lifting means? Kinda curious now since I plan to be racing down there next summer.

Guess this is a good reason for me to get some instruction before I go race too.

My post:
NEVER lift in Turn 1, in fact if you are not at constant throttle you should be accelerating thru this turn.

and EvilAsh's post:
Lifting in turn one is a major no no. I did ever so slightly once and only by the great training that Proformance and Don Kitch gave me did I save it by planting the throttle.

pretty much sum up the answer to your question. Thru T1, T7 & T9 the recomendation is to maintain constant throttle or accelerate, not lifting on the throttle mid turn. If your are interested in coming out next year I would recommend one of the following: Proformance School, its expensive but definately worth it, PR is a challenging but very fun and rewarding track and/or NW ALFA club http://welcome.to/nwarc Driver's School (inexpensive) followed by running one of their events as a novice (instruction included).
