any write up on this using a volvo 760 intercooler and explorer intake going in a 88lx with 2.3t swap? i have the intercooler, radiator, bends of pipe and straight sections and couplers etc. just need to see how people have done this and if there was a write up. will be using a 65 mm throttle body on a stock outlet location turbo and gutted intake but it is standard pointing to passenger side. need info on how to hold intercooler in place. also its plastic and worried about what boost this can stand without blowing apart. any info on the above would be great.

My Volvo IC is basically held in by the radiator, there isn't much in the way of mounting flanges on it if i remember right. but You see how i did the piping in the Picture. I have run about 17psi for about 4 years now and so far i haven't had any trouble with the plastic tanks on the volvo.

Man that looks good. great job on the install. what pipe did you use and size? also where did you get your couplers and what sizes were they u used and i see a rubber 90 hose going out intercooler by radiator on driver side. any part numbers or part look ups would be great. also what radiator did you end up using? did you see any performance gain in the swap over the standard throttle body intercooler? looks awsome though hope you can help me out getting mine to look like that :nice:

The couplers i got from Turbohoses.com The pipes themselves are 2.5" mandrel Bent steel pipe. The rubber hoses i would have to look back in my notes. I think i do have part numbers somewhere. As for the radiator, I used a single core 89 ranger radiator, but I wouldn't advise it, in the hottest days of summer it runs a little warmer then i would like. I will see if i can locate some part numbers for you.

cool sounds good i hope my newer 96 explorer radiator works out ok. its bigger than the older explorer ones by two inches. barely clears the outlets on the volvo intercooler. if you can find part numbers and where you got them that would be a big plus thanks man, again looks awsome hope it flies :)

anything new, any part numbers? getting ready to put it in. i have just finished the auto/t5 swap and no longer need my transmission lines anymore so now is a good time to switch radiators and get the fmic instlled in front of the car. if you know anything just let me know, thanks

i havent found the part numbers, I am sure i wrote them down, but its been 5 years since i did the swap, and i did it at my parents house so my notes could be there. My best advice is to go to napa and look in their hoses book, they will have something that fits. I got my hoses from Napa.
