fog lamp switch

today i tried to do the fog lamp mod and before i could get the switch out it came apart. Does anyone know how many springs are inside of the stock switch its for a 98 thanks

what do u mean? all u have to do is splice a wire on the connector harness

sorry if i confused anyone but when i removed the switch so i could get to the wires my switch came apart and the spring and a little ballbearing came out id prob be better off just getting another switch

See Sig....

You need to pull the inner piece of the center console out. Take the little rubber pads out and pull the screws. I think there is another one on the bottom. Once that's out you can can squeeze the clips from underneath. Then the entire switch comes out. You have to sqeeze the hell out of them though. There are two on each. They are located on the ends. Pull both out. Since you have a hard top, you just have to move one wire from one switch to the other. There is a right up somewhere, just can't remember where. Once switches are out, take the rad cap deal off and push the release pins and swap the wires. It works great. I have had it for a few months and no probs. Good Luck

Thanks for the replies but i had no prob getting it out lol I have the write up on how to do it the switch itself came apart and the guts of it fell out now i was just trying to figure out how it goes back together
